Esta sessão irá explorar conteúdos de diferentes disciplinas, tendo por referência uma sessão gravada com utilização do Telescópio Faulkes Telescope North (2m), situado no observatório de Halekala (Havai). Exploraremos, a partir daqui, imensos conceitos e curiosidades envolvendo diferentes áreas disciplinares: Porque é que os observatórios são construídos só em certos lugares? Porque é que alguns telescópios só funcionam no Espaço? Porque é que para desfrutar do calor do Havai tenho que passar onde vivem os ursos polares? Como são constituídos os telescópios? Sabes que nem todos envolvem lentes?
Vamos ainda falar de como é feita a perceção da cor na visão humana e na forma como a tecnologia dos CCD funciona. Falaremos ainda de como se produz uma imagem de um objeto de céu profundo a partir da combinação de diferentes filtros, e da informação química que podemos recolher neste processo e de várias coisas mais.
Por razões de gestão do tempo e articulação com outras atividades, os professores do Ensino Secundário interessados nesta atividade devem contactar-me pelo email (alvaro.folhas@nuclio.org) com uma a duas semanas de antecedência para organizar a visita, ignorando por esta razão a informação da data na plataforma para esta atividade.
Para promover a participação ativa dos alunos, a sessão será limitada a cerca de 45 alunos.
