Palestra sobre uma das missões mais promissoras da Agência Espacial Europeia (ESA), a missão Hera, e a intervenção importante da indústria espacial portuguesa no seu desenvolvimento. A Hera pretende ser a primeira missão de defesa planetária visto que, em parceria com a NASA, irá defletir um asteróide através do impacto de uma nave. Assim, em caso de real perigo de colisão de um asteróide com a Terra, possíveis estratégias de mitigação já terão sido testadas, e consequências nefastas evitadas!
Duração aproximada de 45 minutos, destinada a estudantes do 3º Ciclo/Ensino Secundário.
